Me and painting
It all started when I was given a set of watercolour paints when I was 10 years old. I drew and painted incessantly from that point.
I have always been fascinated by the built environment and loved looking at and drawing everything around me where I grew up in Wolverhampton. I became interested in the way that people are connected to buildings and places and I like to try to capture that in my painting.

The majority of my work is rooted in this but I've recently started work on a small series of paintings exploring what happens when that connection is lost - watch this space!
For a long time my day job got in the way of painting and I spent a lot of time doodling ferociously on conference calls while my painting was crammed into weekends and evenings but, over the last few years, I have dedicated a lot more time to painting. My work is predominantly watercolour. I love its ethereal quality which creates a feeling of fluidity and movement and of the passing on time.
Have a look and let me know what you think!
